Terms for Using ThreatHawk
These Terms of Use explain the conditions that apply when accessing ThreatHawk and using its browser-based cybersecurity tools, content and related services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ThreatHawk, you agree to use the platform responsibly and in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable laws.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use ThreatHawk.
2. Purpose of ThreatHawk
ThreatHawk provides browser-based cybersecurity utilities intended primarily for defensive security, education, development, analysis, troubleshooting and authorized investigation.
The platform currently includes tools for password analysis, suspicious URL inspection, cryptographic hash identification, security log analysis and data encoding or decoding.
3. Authorized and Acceptable Use
You should use ThreatHawk only with systems, accounts, files, networks, URLs, logs, data or other resources that you own or are authorized to analyze.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of ThreatHawk is permitted by applicable law, organizational policy, contractual obligations and any authorization provided by the owner of the relevant system or data.
4. Prohibited Misuse
ThreatHawk must not be used to intentionally facilitate unauthorized access, compromise systems, interfere with services, steal credentials, distribute malware, violate privacy, abuse third-party infrastructure or perform unlawful activity.
You must not attempt to misuse ThreatHawk itself, interfere with its operation, bypass technical restrictions or deliberately overload services and integrations used by the platform.
5. Accuracy of Results
ThreatHawk provides automated analysis and informational results. Security indicators, classifications, estimates and recommendations may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect.
False positives and false negatives are possible. Important security decisions should be verified using additional evidence and appropriate professional tools or expertise.
6. Availability and Changes
ThreatHawk may be modified, updated, suspended or discontinued at any time. Features, integrations, interfaces and supported formats may change as the project develops.
Continuous availability of the website, individual tools or third-party services is not guaranteed.
7. Third-Party Services
Some ThreatHawk features may depend on external APIs, reputation services, analytics providers, hosting infrastructure or other third-party services.
ThreatHawk does not control the availability, accuracy, security, policies or operation of those external services.
8. Intellectual Property and Open Source
ThreatHawk is an open-source project. Source code made available through the ThreatHawk GitHub repository is subject to the license included with the repository.
The ThreatHawk name, website content, documentation, interface elements and other project materials may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated.
Open-source availability does not grant permission to falsely claim authorship, impersonate the project or misrepresent an unofficial version as an official ThreatHawk service.
9. No Warranty
ThreatHawk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without guarantees that the platform will always be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Use of ThreatHawk is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the ThreatHawk project and its creator are not responsible for losses or damages resulting from reliance on tool output, misuse of the platform, unavailable services, incorrect analysis, third-party services or unauthorized activity performed by users.
Users remain responsible for their own actions, investigations, decisions and compliance obligations.
11. Privacy
Information about browser-based processing, analytics, cookies, external services and data handling is described separately in the ThreatHawk Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated as ThreatHawk introduces new tools, integrations, services or policies.
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
